Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery team at SSM Health. As an RN Ambulatory Surgery Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth surgical experience for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify patient needs, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as per hospital policy and procedure.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote healthy outcomes and reduce anxiety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
