Job Summary

The Compliance Director at EnviroVantage is a senior leadership role that oversees the company's compliance department. This position is responsible for ensuring all new and active projects are set up for success by working closely with the Operations and Estimating teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Review spec documents for upcoming and active projects to make recommendations to the Estimating and Project Management teams.
  • Team Management: Manage the compliance team and ensure all preconstruction client deliverables are complete and accurate in a timely manner.
  • Work Plan Development: Write and review work plans in partnership with the Project Management team.
  • Waste Management: Gather information for waste profiles and submit final profiles to waste vendors.
  • Document Review: Review project documents for submittal requirements and gather necessary paperwork per project requirements.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about new and changing laws and regulations relevant to the Construction industry.
  • Regulatory Impact Assessment: Assess the impact of regulatory changes and communicate necessary adjustments to the Operations and Estimating teams.
  • Compliance Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from employees, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the Construction and/or environmental remediation industry.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of various state regulations for asbestos, lead, mold, duct cleaning, and heavy metals.
  • OSHA Compliance: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations for construction.
  • Waste Management: Working understanding of RCRA and TSCA waste streams.
  • EM Experience: Experience with EM.
  • Remediation Experience: Experience with remediation and/or demolition projects for USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, USCG, EPA, or NPS.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
  • Accessibility: Must be able to access and navigate each department and the organization's facilities.
