About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. This role will involve cleaning, sterilization, processing, organizing and distributing patient equipment, instruments, supplies and products used in the care and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Decontamination: Clean and decontaminate instruments, containers and patient equipment using detergents and disinfectant solutions under regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures.
  • Sterilization: Operate semi-automatic and automatic sterilization equipment and washers to ensure that all medical equipment is properly sterilized.
  • Inventories and Replenishment: Maintain and control inventory of instruments, reusable medical equipment and medical supplies for general supplies and surgical carts.
  • Maintaining Records: Maintain applicable records and files to track inventory levels and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Certified Board Sterile Processing & Dist (CBSPD), Certified Reg Central Service Tech (CRCST), Certified Sterile Proc/Distr Tech (CSPDT), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
Estimated Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
