The State of North Carolina is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join its team in the Comprehensive Health Services division of the Department of Adult Correction. Job Summary

This position involves providing comprehensive medical care to inmates, including acute and chronic medical conditions, preventive health services, and health education. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, ordering laboratory tests, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. In addition, they will participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina as determined by the NC Medical Board
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong clinical background and knowledge of internal medicine
Benefits

The State of North Carolina offers a competitive salary range of $137,604.00 - $275,208.00 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, employees are eligible for a range of benefits, including employee health insurance options, standard and supplemental retirement plans, NC Flex, and paid vacation, sick, and community service leave.
