Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is a highly skilled healthcare professional responsible for delivering comprehensive direct patient care.
This role involves utilizing advanced assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills to provide high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive interview and physical examination with each assigned patient, gathering pertinent information from all sources.
- Assist with inpatient rounds, inpatient consults, operative cases, and inpatient/outpatient procedures after adequate training.
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues of the practice population while administering quality patient care.
- Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience.
- CPR certification.
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with the healthcare team and patients and their families.
