Role Summary:
The Patient Services Associate I plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by efficiently managing arrival and departure processes within our outpatient practices. This position primarily involves front desk responsibilities, including verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, including scheduling appointments using EPIC.
- Provide professional and courteous interactions with patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
- Ensure a smooth flow of operations within the practice, addressing any patient or provider concerns as necessary.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain privacy and security standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service or patient-facing roles in healthcare is preferred.
Health Requirements:
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for employment at Jefferson Health for individuals working in clinical settings. Candidates must be vaccinated prior to their start date unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
