Microbiologist

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our team in Portage, MI. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing and reviewing routine and complex analyses, including instrumental analyses and calibration of instruments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, biology, or biochemistry, with a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience. You will be responsible for ensuring good housekeeping, communicating effectively with client staff members, and performing calculations as required by test methods.

• Perform and review preparations of reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures
• Perform and review routine, non-routine, and complex analyses, including instrumental analyses and calibration of instruments
• Read and understand analytical procedures and internal SOPs
• Support onboarding of new instrumentation, including performing and reviewing IQ/OQ/PQ data or qualifications
• Demonstrate technical writing skills and complete investigations independently
• Process and review data, generate and review reports, and evaluate data
• Suggest and implement lab improvements or modify existing processes to maximize quality and productivity
• Identify or support speaking or publishing opportunities and assist with driving to publication or presentation

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration
• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience
• Hands-on laboratory experience
• Experience with USP for Sterility Testing and USP for Bacterial Endotoxin Testing
• Additional strengths in testing for USP Antimicrobial Efficacy Testing and USP chapters , , and for microbial limits testing
