Respiratory Therapist Supervisor

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist Supervisor to lead our Respiratory Care team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for the overall daily technical operation and supervision of all patient care and related hospital activities performed during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the Respiratory Care team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
- Assist the Director with the management and overall operation of the department, including budgeting, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Provide guidance and training to Respiratory Care Practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Respiratory Therapy Program.
- A current license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas and certification (CRT or RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- A current BLS and ACLS Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with at least 2 years of experience in adult critical care and/or neonatal and/or pediatric critical care units.
