Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Geologist to support Geo-Civil projects from our San Diego, California office.

The successful candidate will maintain long-term relationships with clients in civil infrastructure and mining, providing technical expertise and managing client expectations.

Responsibilities will include planning, budgeting, and executing surface and subsurface field geologic and geotechnical exploration, as well as managing support staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, engineering geology, or geological engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering, and experience with complex subsurface investigations, including soil and rock core drilling.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to work on multiple project tasks and meet deadlines.

AECOM offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, as well as paid time off and leaves of absence.

Relocation is not available for this position, but sponsorship may be available for current US employment VISA holders.

Regular project site travel is required, up to 50%.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications, with an expected range of $95,000 to $140,000.
