Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, identifying potential complications and taking prompt action to prevent or mitigate them.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications within six months of hire.
  • One year of recent experience in critical care, preferably with evidence of critical care training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work with diverse patient populations, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and communicating with patients and caregivers.
  • Personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others, with a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
