The law firm of Zerbe, Miller, Fingeret, Frank & Jadav, LLP is currently seeking to expand its litigation practice and is looking for highly skilled individuals with experience in litigation support.

As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our litigation team in managing and preparing cases for trial.

Key Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to oversee and prepare cases for trial, ensuring timely and efficient management of deadlines.


• Draft various pleadings, motions, stipulations, and discovery documents, utilizing strong writing and analytical skills.


• Organize and maintain exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices, ensuring seamless access and retrieval.


• Conduct e-discovery and participate in client interviews, witness preparation, and other trial preparations, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


• Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and draft legal memoranda for use in briefing, showcasing expertise in research and analysis.


• Draft formal written responses to discovery requests, adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining confidentiality.


• Demonstrate advocacy skills and aptitude for learning new concepts and procedures, staying up-to-date with industry developments.


• Communicate effectively with courts and manage discovery and trial deadlines, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.

Qualifications:


• College degree or paralegal certification is preferred, with a strong emphasis on litigation experience.


• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in litigation support, with a proven track record of preparing and obtaining records, assembling exhibits, and summarizing transcripts.


• Experience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands, including interrogatories and requests for production.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience in Relativity a plus.


• Willingness to travel when necessary, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
