Smart Pit Host Part Time Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Smart Pit Host Part Time. As a Smart Pit Host, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all casino guests playing a Smart Pit Electronic Table Game (Smart ETG). This includes proactively explaining the Smart ETG rules, anticipating guest needs, and answering questions about the property or loyalty reward program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all casino guests
  • Explain Smart ETG rules and answer questions about the property or loyalty reward program
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance as needed
  • Maintain and upkeep of knowledge regarding Smart ETG Pit games, property, loyalty reward program, and anything related to the property
  • Serve as a Smart ETG Ambassador for the property by creating an entertaining and positive guest experience within policies and procedures
  • Ensure work area is always clean
  • Accurately collect and record Smart ETG game information
  • Respond to guest needs according to service, policy, and procedure expectations
  • Escalate potential issues and/or concerns to Manager as needed
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • General Education Degree (GED) or High School Diploma; one to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six months of customer service experience in a high energy and fast paced environment preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to operate all tools of the trades including power tools safely, maintaining and caring for those tools on a regular basis
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work high volume days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

Language Skills:

  • Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
  • Written communication skills in English may also be required

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
