We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Dialysis team at KurzSolutions. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis center.
Responsibilities- Oversee the preparation of the dialysis delivery system, dialysate bath, and dialyzer, and confirm that all mandatory alarm tests are performed.
- Review physician orders for dialysis patients, collect pre-treatment dialysis data, and review patient records prior to dialysis.
- Conduct pre-dialysis patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs and assessing vascular access, laboratory findings, and general health.
- Verify that patients are taking all prescribed medications and perform medication reconciliation.
- Assess, prepare, and cannulate patients' vascular access, including arteriovenous fistula or grafts for aseptic connection with dialysis equipment.
- Utilize sterile techniques to assess the dialysis catheter exit site and apply dressing on the patient's vascular access.
- Conduct post-dialysis assessments and patient discharge by evaluating treatment, documenting medication administration, assessing vascular access, and discharging patients when vital signs are stable.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A completed course in nursing from an accredited program approved by either the Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
- A minimum of three years' direct patient care experience.
- Knowledge of the Gambro Dialysis Machine and Electro Cardia Gram Course.
