Job Summary

The Medical Support Specialist is a vital member of our healthcare team at MNR Industries LLC. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining effective patient throughput while assisting our providers with delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Patient Information: Accurately document patient information into our electronic medical records system.
  • Measure and Record Vital Signs: Measure and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Conduct Rapid Lab Tests: Conduct rapid lab tests, such as blood glucose and urine analysis.
  • Administer Injections: Administer injections and medications as prescribed by our providers.
  • Perform EKGs: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as ordered by our providers.
  • Apply Orthopedic Splints: Apply orthopedic splints and casts as needed.
  • Assist with Medical Procedures: Assist our providers with simple medical procedures, such as suturing and wound care.
  • Phlebotomy: Collect blood samples from patients for laboratory testing.
  • Prepare Specimens: Prepare and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to established policies and procedures, including infection control and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Attend Staff Meetings: Attend staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
Requirements:
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and externship.
  • Certification: Certified or Registered (CMA or RMA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital.
  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for longer periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as needed.
