Job Summary

Penn State University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Penn State Behrend. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day medical care for student-athletes, leading compliance efforts for AED/CPR training, and developing departmental goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preventative, ongoing, and rehabilitative medical care for student-athletes
  • Act as a liaison between external health care providers, doctors, and other medical professionals
  • Lead departmental compliance efforts for AED/CPR training and organization
  • Plan and develop departmental goals and objectives, ensuring commitment to equity and inclusion in all aspects of student engagement with athletics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher; Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years related experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BOC Certified Athletic Trainer; PA State Licensed Athletic Trainer; Certified Health Care Provider (CPR/AED)
Clearances
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
Benefits

This is a 10-month position with the months of June and July off. Full Penn State benefits included. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
