First Shift (Days)

Sentara Leigh Hospital is in search of an Interventional Radiology Technician for the Noninvasive Lab.

Full-Time Day Shift, 36 hours per week with on-call responsibilities.

This includes approximately every other weekend and holiday.

If you possess experience in invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional radiology procedures, this opportunity is tailored for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician.
  • Provide education to patients and their families.
  • Safely operate medical equipment.
  • Complete necessary departmental documentation.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean and operational state.
  • Manage adequate inventory supplies for examinations.
  • Engage in departmental performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Completion of a Radiologic Technology Program is required. Candidates must hold ARRT or RCIS registration and possess BLS certification.

Experience:

A minimum of one year in invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment, supplies, and patients.
