Job Summary:
CareStaff Partners is seeking a highly qualified and experienced High School Science Teacher to join our team. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and providing differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, taking into account their unique learning styles and abilities.
- Create a Supportive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth, and fosters a sense of community and belonging among students.
- Provide Differentiated Instruction: Provide differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each student, using a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services, and to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Utilize Instructional Techniques: Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement, and to promote student-centered learning.
- Monitor Social-Emotional Development: Monitor and address students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills, and provide support and resources to help students develop these skills.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree: Master's degree preferred, but not required.
- Teaching Certificate: Valid teaching certificate or credential required.
- IEP Experience: Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
