Police Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Police Officer. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances, responding to emergency calls, and providing excellent customer service to the public.

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce traffic regulations.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, and provide assistance to citizens as needed.
• Investigate crimes and accidents, and collect and preserve evidence.
• Arrest and detain suspects, and transport them to the appropriate facility.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports and paperwork.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance law enforcement skills.

• High school graduation or equivalent and completion of Law Enforcement Training Academy.
• Valid Class C Texas driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
• TCOLE License.

The City of Ennis, TX offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees, including health care, dental, vision, retirement, and more. Part-time employees who work an average of 30 hours per week over the course of a year receive benefits on a pro-rated basis.
