JAG Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced JAG Specialist to join our team at Brightpoint. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the JAG Model and Case Management in an assigned school, achieving process standards and performance goals, and providing case management to youth deemed to have a high degree of difficulty in being promoted into the next grade level, achieving graduation, and/or making a successful transition from school to a career with advancement opportunities.

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum to ensure youth achieve specific JAG competencies through classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and team teaching.
2. Recruit and select youth for the program, utilizing Brightpoint JAG guidelines to determine their appropriateness.
3. Build and maintain positive relationships with school personnel, including teachers, administrators, and youth, to ensure a successful program.
4. Develop and maintain a pool of effective community support resources, including employers, parents, civic groups, and legislators, to build awareness and support for the program.
5. Organize and serve as advisor to a JAG Career Association chapter, creating training opportunities and civic and social activities to build appreciation for teamwork, sense of belonging, and commitment to community service.
6. Provide guidance, counseling, and support to youth, referring them to additional support services as needed, and taking responsibility for learning and complying with school policies.
7. Comply with all JAG and WIOA documentation requirements, including contacts and activities involving youth, employers, and other groups, and maintain a well-organized filing system.
8. Record information and data daily, using the online data system and WIOA data management system, and assist youth in finding and maintaining quality employment and/or post-secondary educational programs upon graduation.

1. Bachelor's degree in social service, counseling, business, education, or a related discipline.
2. Experience working with youth, accompanied by knowledge of adolescent development issues.
3. Willingness to work in a highly accountable and performance-based program.
4. A valid Indiana driver's license and minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.
