Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA '88 in an accurate and timely manner with supervision.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA).
  • Specimen Processing: May be responsible for the collection, receipt, and processing of biological specimens into the laboratory.
  • Quality Control: Recognize and ensure validity of abnormal patient and/or QC results for testing.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the appropriate use of supplies and materials and assist with inventory management.
Requirements
  • Education: Meet one of the following criteria to qualify: Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science (transcripts will be reviewed to determine eligibility).
  • Certification: MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing is preferred.
