Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join their Faculty Team. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will provide psychiatric care for a diverse range of patients in an inpatient environment, while also supervising and teaching psychiatric residents, psychology interns, and medical students. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the department's teaching and research mission.
Responsibilities:- Provide psychiatric care for patients in an inpatient environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the department's teaching and research mission.
- Supervise and teach psychiatric residents, psychology interns, and medical students, with a focus on developing their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the department's teaching and research mission.
- Participate in departmental and medical school committees, with a focus on contributing to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- MD or DO degree required.
- At least two years of clinical experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the department's teaching and research mission.
