OVERVIEW: Responsible for the operation of CT imaging equipment and the acquisition of diagnostic images. Ensures the preparation of patients, examination rooms, equipment, and necessary supplies in accordance with established protocols and age-specific requirements. Produces high-quality computerized tomographic images as per physician directives and in line with best practices.
Essential Qualifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or eligible; CT certification required within one year of employment.
Preferred Educational Background: Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
Preferred Professional Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of focused experience in CT imaging; at least one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology is also preferred.
Preferred Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
