Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

As a Laundry Attendant at Extendicare Health and Rehab, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents. This is a dynamic position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Sort and separate soiled laundry, linen, and garments for cleaning and processing
Operate washing machines and dryers to ensure efficient and effective cleaning
Fold, count, and distribute clean laundry, linen, and garments to residents and designated areas
Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to prevent the spread of infection and ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with the supervisor to identify and address any equipment or supply needs

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
