Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Ventilation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Ventilation Specialist. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients requiring ventilation services. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients requiring ventilation services, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve lung function and overall health.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review processes.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Current RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch.
  • CPR certification.
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Work Environment:

As a Respiratory Therapist - Ventilation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will be required to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, and sit for extended periods. You must be able to perform one-man CPR and be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings. You will also be required to travel throughout the service area and work outside of normal business hours as needed.
