Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, prescribing, and administering treatment to patients. They will also supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers, as well as oversee the performance of nursing and other support personnel.
Responsibilities:- Examine and diagnose patients, prescribe and administer treatment
- Supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers
- Oversee the performance of nursing and other support personnel
- Review laboratory, x-ray findings, and diagnosis other tests
- Document and complete electronic health records (EHRs) and medical records
- Participate in consumer education and in-service training for support personnel
- Meet all contractual requirements and quality of care standards
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completed and approved internship
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Current CPR certification
