Join a leading provider in support services, where we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Logistics Truck Operator in the transportation sector.

Position Overview

The Logistics Truck Operator is tasked with the operation of various types of vehicles, including a 48-foot tractor-trailer and a 22-foot straight truck, responsible for the transportation of essential materials such as fabricated ductwork, piping, construction supplies, tools, and HVAC equipment to designated sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and advocate for safety protocols in alignment with company standards, including a commitment to a Zero Injury Program.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for timely delivery and pick-up of goods.
  • Efficiently load, secure, and unload cargo as required.
  • Maintain constant communication with dispatch to receive instructions and updates regarding delivery schedules.
  • Keep accurate logs of travel and cargo in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure operational readiness.
  • Follow established guidelines and instructions to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating tandem axle tractors with trailers and straight trucks.
  • Possess an active NCCCO & City of Chicago Knuckle Boom Operators license for operating Knuckle Boom vehicles.
  • Assist in trailer spotting and tool order fulfillment as necessary.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience operating a CDL vehicle is required.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Proficient in using cellular and GPS technology.
