Job Summary:

Active Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Quality Tech/CMM Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for programming and operating our Zeiss CMM machine for parts measurements with data analysis for part conformance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and operate the CMM machine for parts measurements and data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain CMM equipment per ISO requirements for calibration and annual maintenance.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in support of customer satisfaction, customer audits, and ISO 9001 certification audits.
  • Perform daily part inspections and dimensional layouts of manufactured parts.
  • Read and understand part drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T.
  • Interpret GD&T and program software accordingly.
  • Communicate inspection results to the Quality Manager and manufacturing personnel as necessary.
  • Maintain gages and gage calibration as required.
  • Support PPAP approvals for customers, including capability studies and gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
  • Use Excel spreadsheets and create inspection sheets and bubble drawings.
  • Process and contain parts with defects or out of tolerance parts.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of product to determine product compliance to specifications.
  • Assist with corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Perform and maintain gage calibration system.
  • Contribute to quality procedures and internal auditing.
  • May perform part operation duties as needed.
