Baptist Health is seeking a Part-time, day shift Retail Staff Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at Baptist Health Louisville.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
- Support the orientation, training, and development of community pharmacy staff.
- Ensure compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program (if applicable), accrediting bodies, REMS compliance, third-party payers (including audits), and state and federal regulations.
- Ensure timely completion of all claim and invoice reconciliation as needed by the Community Pharmacy Manager.
- Ensure adequate control and documentation of controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain compliance with immunization protocols and ensure all staff have current training, including BLS CPR certification.
- Ensure the integrity of medications by assuring storage under proper conditions (e.g., refrigeration) and security.
- Monitor drug shortages and implement solutions to avoid therapy delays.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to eliminate or minimize medication errors.
- Report Good Catches, Adverse Drug Events, and Medication/Fluid errors.
- Coordinate safe transitions of care from the hospital with patients, caregivers, other institutions, providers, and pharmacies.
- Ensure prompt and friendly service, prioritizing the patient's well-being in all functions and duties.
- Perform responsibilities of Community Pharmacy Manager during their absence.
- Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
- Must obtain Immunization certification within 6 months.
