Position Summary:

Beck Automotive Group operates five dealerships and is expanding, seeking dedicated professionals eager to grow within our 400-employee organization. We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to support our growth in the restaurant sector.

About Us:

Beck Automotive Group is a vibrant and rapidly growing automotive dealership group committed to excellence and community involvement. With five successful dealerships, we are now expanding into the restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management: Efficiently process payroll for various restaurant clients, covering both hourly and salaried staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations specific to the restaurant sector, including tip reporting and overtime calculations.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep precise and confidential payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Reporting: Create and review payroll reports, including tax submissions and employee benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and any payroll-related concerns promptly.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on changes in payroll laws and regulations affecting the restaurant industry, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with HR and management teams to support payroll-related initiatives and provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 4 years of payroll processing experience, particularly in the restaurant industry.
  • Education: AA-Degree or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of restaurant payroll laws, including tip credits, overtime regulations, and state-specific guidelines.
  • Skills: Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness in all payroll processing tasks.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Certification: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive employee relationships.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Maintain professional business attire and appearance.
  • Self-motivated and capable of being an effective team player.
  • Valid in-state driver's license and automobile insurance.

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
