Driver - RCB Wapato Shores Accessible Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team as a full-time driver for RCB Wapato Shores Accessible Transportation. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and dependable transportation services to older adults, people with disabilities, and others in our community as part of NEMT (Non Emergency Medical Transportation) services.
This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who rely on our services for their mobility needs.
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $21.48 to $30.24 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a non-exempt position that requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A minimum of 5 years driving experience as recorded by the Department of Motor Vehicles is also required.
About the Job- Safely transport customers to and from their destinations, including medical appointments, grocery shopping, social outings, and other errands.
- Transport customers according to the schedule and/or instructions given by the Program Manager or Dispatcher.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle using ramp or lifts, secure mobility devices, and assist exiting vehicle and escorting into destination or facility.
- Ensure customer comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Provide friendly and respectful customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and exercise caution while driving, especially when transporting passengers with mobility challenges.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including monitoring and maintaining proper vehicle fuel levels.
- Maintain customer confidentiality.
