Maintenance Mechanic II

Job Summary

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team. The successful candidate will assist Maintenance Mechanic I in all activities and duties, including observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Maintenance Mechanic I in all activities and duties.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Perform non-specific mechanical repairs and/or troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and complete preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, dock levelers, and other mechanical systems.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
  • Assist Maintenance Mechanic I in all activities and duties.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Basic ability to dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Basic ability to inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Basic ability to adjust functional parts or devices and control instruments.
  • Basic ability to repair or replace defective parts.
  • Basic ability to install special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasking as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • GED or HS Equivalent.
  • Four (4) or more years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver License.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Will be required to use ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, fork trucks, and other equipment to accomplish the job.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, high precarious positions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat, and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
