Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Electrical Tech Lead to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all electrical and avionics activities, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in our aircraft maintenance and servicing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, schedule, and complete tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule, providing daily status reports and progress schedules to management.
  2. Coordinate electrical and avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines, reviewing work to ensure compliance with Site Inspection Procedures Manual, Site Operating Procedures, and FARs.
  3. Supervise and instruct electrical technicians, providing technical guidance and proper procedures for troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  4. Review daily job charging for all personnel to ensure accuracy of inputs, maintaining a preventive maintenance program on test equipment, hand tools, and special tools.
  5. Maintain a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes (ASC), Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information, and all other procedures, publications, and general knowledge pertaining to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
  6. Supervise a continuous safety program in the hangar area, including operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, and general housekeeping.
  7. Enforce company FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and all safety regulations.
  8. Coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 2 years of experience on large/mid-size aircraft.
  3. 8 years of experience in aircraft avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and six (6) years related experience.
  4. FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.
  5. FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.
  6. Ability to read and interpret electrical and avionics system drawings and blueprints.
  7. Demonstrated leadership ability.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  9. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement, and obtain objectives with minimal direction.
  10. Ability to use hand tools and avionics test equipment.
  11. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
