EHS Specialist

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, developing and implementing safety programs, and conducting training and audits. Collaborate with Quality Systems to ensure environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and monitor potential hazards, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a liaison with external organizations, such as fire departments and government agencies.
- Interface with departments to evaluate operations, provide technical guidance, and conduct training.
- Compile data for OSHA compliance, including written programs, reporting, and safety records.
- Assist with Workers Compensation-related issues, tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate site assessments and testing for EHS-related issues.
- Facilitate incident investigations and track corrective actions.
- Analyze data to assess EHS challenges and develop control approaches.
- Provide safety and environmental communications, including mandatory safety alerts.
- Work with suppliers for health, safety, and environmental supplies.
- Maintain the First Aid Room.
- Associate degree in a related field and 3-5+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0-2+ years of experience.
- Experience with EPA and OSHA compliance.
- Proven knowledge of OSHA Regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proven self-starter with a goal-oriented and results-driven approach.
