Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the industrialization and repair process of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, supporting, and industrializing repair processes, as well as facilitating the implementation and qualification of new repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical design and analytical background, with experience in manufacturing processes and a proven track record of driving projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify, support, and industrialize repair processes
* Facilitate implementation and qualification of new repairs
* Participate directly with the Component Engineering team
* Provide technical direction to shop engineering team
* Support repair projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cycle
* Review and approve shop repair plans and work instructions
* Provide technical assistance for process and quality issue resolution
* Perform special process audits to ensure compliance with GE requirements
* Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
* Participate on teams for problem solving, standardization, and best practice sharing

Qualifications

* Minimum of 5 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment
* Lean training or equivalent quality training
* Strong mechanical design and analytical background
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes
* Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Work Environment

* Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work
* Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures
* Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early
* Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
