JOB SUMMARY
As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, provide direct treatment, and offer consultation to a diverse rehabilitation caseload. You will actively participate in the interdisciplinary team process and provide training to caregiving staff. Your role will also involve contributing to clinical program development and supervising other therapy staff as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assess, identify, and treat physical and cognitive challenges that affect residents' daily living activities, adhering to medical recommendations.
• Create restorative programs and instruct residents on the use of adaptive equipment.
• Develop and document Care Plans tailored to each resident's unique needs, ensuring timely and accurate records.
• Conduct Resident Home Assessments as part of the discharge planning process.
• Perform screenings during the admission process and conduct quarterly and annual evaluations to assess therapy needs.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy, along with the necessary professional licensure as mandated by state law; two years of clinical experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to exercise independent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong time management capabilities.
• Compliance with ASHA requirements for the position.
• Ability to thrive in complex systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and clients.
