Job Title: Temp - CST - OR - General (Days) Lancaster NH

Surgical Technicians play a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room. They are responsible for assembling and handing instruments to the surgeon, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical process.

Additionally, some OR nurses have additional training in "scrubbing", while PACU/Recovery Room Nurses specialize in providing care to patients during the immediate post-operative period.

Dress Code and Patient Population

Hospital-provided scrubs and closed-toe shoes are required. Perfume, cologne, and facial piercings (except for earrings) are not permitted.

The patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing surgery in the OR, PACU, and ENDO suites.

Requirements and Certifications

A minimum of 5 years of current OR experience in a hospital setting is required. Prior travel experience is preferred.

Certifications include BLS (AHA) and NBSTSA. The NH Med Tech license must be active.

Additional Requirements

Every other weekend is required, with on-call shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. A rotational weekday on-call requirement is also necessary.

Travelers must respond to calls within 45 minutes and are required to work holidays as needed.
