Position Overview

As a key member of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Utilize MRI equipment to capture detailed images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare and position patients effectively, ensuring accurate selection of technical parameters for optimal imaging.
  • Conduct patient pre-screening, scheduling, and provide education regarding the imaging process.
  • Manage patient data, ensuring proper transfer and storage of images, and develop films using automated processes.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure the timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in keeping the department organized and clean, including all procedure and storage areas.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Current BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire.
  • One or more of the following credentials required:
    • Cardiographic Technician from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    • Nuclear Medical Technologist from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
    • Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    • Medical Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience required.
