Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering external beam radiation therapy in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncology physician and Medical Radiation Physicist.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed planned courses of radiation therapy, ensuring accuracy and safety in accordance with department procedures.
  • Monitor patients for unusual physical and psychological reactions, reporting observations and events to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and/or Radiation Oncology physician.
  • Maintain daily treatment schedules, collaborating with physicians, physics staff, and front office staff for scheduling treatment times, simulations, and diagnostic studies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program, board eligible, and registered to sit for the next board exam, with two consecutive trials to pass before being considered for dismissal.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and certified as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington.
  • AIDS certification for healthcare workers (7 hours) and CPR certification.
