Job Summary

The General Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Christwood team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our physical plant. This role involves conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to building equipment, plumbing, and other systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance duties, including repairs to walls, floors, furniture, and fixtures, as well as light plumbing and electrical work.
  • Conduct refurbishing projects as directed by the supervisor, ensuring high-quality results and attention to detail.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance tasks, as scheduled by the supervisor, to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to work orders and requests, completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including notes and detailed information in Worx Hub.
  • Collaborate with plant operations staff to ensure seamless operations during emergencies and other critical situations.
  • Perform minor HVAC repairs in apartments, ensuring a comfortable and safe living environment for residents.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school education, with technical school or background preferred.
  • One year of general maintenance experience, with ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
