Exception Processor

Fremont Bank, a top-rated mid-tier bank in the nation, is seeking an experienced Exception Processor to join their team in Livermore, CA. As an Exception Processor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.

• Process exception reports, including NSF and Non-Post items, and make decisions based on known criteria to pay or return items.
• Receive and verify in-clearings work from FED, verifying file totals match to process totals.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies, responding to branch and staff inquiries via telephone or email.
• Notify the Bank of first deposit of large dollar items being returned and handle incoming notifications utilizing the Notification software.
• Process Block Entry transactions and produce daily and monthly reports, ensuring GL accounts are balanced.

• 2-3 years of banking experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Accounting and/or Bookkeeping procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to set priorities; multi-tasker.
• Knowledge of Bank Software programs, including Director and Navigator.
