We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students with fine motor, sensory, and other occupational-related challenges in our school-based team in Boone, NC.

The OT will be responsible for assessing and providing therapy to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and experience working in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and review of student-specific goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid OT license or certification in North Carolina.
  • Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
