Role Summary:
As a Biomedical Technician II at OEM Medical Solutions, LLC, you will play a vital role in our Biomedical team, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of medical devices. This position calls for a qualified individual responsible for visiting customer facilities and providing in-house assistance, focusing on preventive maintenance inspections, assessments, and repairs of diverse medical apparatus. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, adept problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to delivering outstanding service.
This position typically follows a Monday to Friday work schedule, with no on-call duties required. Some travel for on-site support is expected, and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site visits to client locations for the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of medical devices.
- Execute in-house repairs, maintenance, and evaluations of medical equipment.
- Conduct testing, calibration, and quality assurance assessments on various biomedical devices.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, including repair documentation, preventive maintenance reports, and parts management.
- Provide thorough reports to clients and internal teams regarding service activities and equipment conditions.
- Collaborate with the Biomedical team to establish and implement best practices.
- Carry out repairs and inspections with an emphasis on safety, organization, and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Biomedical Engineering / Biomedical Technology.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Biomedical Technician.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide array of medical devices.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment safety standards and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site client visits.
- Reliable transportation, a clean driving record (4+ years with no incidents), and compliance with healthcare facility screening protocols.
