Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. Your expertise will ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures, providing valuable diagnostic information to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts
  • Position and instruct patients prior to examination, adjusting equipment as needed
  • Determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams
  • Position patients for imaging exams and monitor their safety during procedures
  • Produce diagnostic images and document exam information
  • Report important information to physicians and verify exams on PACS
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in radiological technology (preferred)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) licensure in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (preferred)
