About the Role

Mercy Clinic is seeking a skilled Primary Care Assistant Medical Assistant or Clinic LPN to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our providers in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Visit Preparation: Prepare patients for visits with providers by completing advanced standard room processes, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliations.
  • Assisting with In-Office Testing: Assist with in-office testing, including drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Vaccine Administration: Administer vaccines and other injections within the scope of practice.
  • Scheduling Follow-Up Appointments: Schedule follow-up appointments as needed, per office policy.
  • Collaboration with Providers: Collaborate with providers and clinical care teams to monitor and coordinate delivery of care plans.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.

For Medical Assistant positions, active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) is required. For LPN positions, licensure as an LPN is required.
