Role Responsibilities:

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting and interpreting tests on patient samples using advanced laboratory techniques. They supply medical personnel with critical information to assist in patient diagnosis while upholding our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Required Qualifications:

For Medical Laboratory Technician:

  • Education: Associate degree in a relevant field recognized by a certification agency for MLT
  • Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent
OR
For Medical Technologist I:
  • Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years of clinical experience
  • Approved Military Training (if applicable)
OR

For Medical Technologist II:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
