Key Responsibilities
  • Participant Management: Validate MWSU ID's and rosters upon arrival, educate participants on intramural sports rules and regulations, and ensure compliance with university policies.
  • Event Preparation: Prepare all necessary paperwork and equipment for efficient, safe, and service-oriented competitions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve participant conflicts and disputes in a fair and timely manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining intramural sports equipment and inventory.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with participants, faculty, staff, and community patrons.
Requirements
  • Student Status: Must be a currently enrolled student at Missouri Western State University.
  • Academic Standing: Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
  • Work Study Eligibility: Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift or push a minimum of 45lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exercise Science, Recreation, or Sports Management Majors: Preference given to students majoring in Exercise Science, Recreation, or Sports Management.
  • CPR/AED Certification: Currently certified in CPR/AED.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Dependability and Accountability: Must be dependable and accountable in performing job duties.
  • Communication Skills: Must possess good communication skills to effectively interact with participants, faculty, staff, and community patrons.
  • Customer Service Skills: Must provide positive customer service to participants and spectators.
