We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Team Member to join our team at Amcor Rigid Packaging. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing repetitive production and packing operations to mass process products such as plastic bottles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform production and packing operations to meet customer specifications
- Monitor product flow into processing machinery and tend to machines as needed
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Check finished product for possible defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Wear personal protective equipment and maintain a safe work environment
- Participate in plant safety and accident prevention policies
- Maintain housekeeping of work areas and follow HACCP, GMP, and Product Safety rules and guidelines
- Train current and new members of the department to perform job-related tasks
- Learn new on-the-job skills as training opportunities become available
- High school diploma or general education degree
- One year of manufacturing experience a plus
- Ability to read and write simple sentences and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions
