Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electroneurodiagnostic Technician to join our team at Unavailable. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing neurology diagnostic tests, including EEG and EMG procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and disconnect patients according to the Neurodiagnostic Society (ASET) guidelines.
  • Monitor, record, and document patient information for physicians.
  • Ability to understand different montages and follow provider orders for selecting montages.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and respond to STAT studies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot computers and recognize sleep, spike, seizure activity, and different heart rhythms.
Patient Care
  • Escort patients from the waiting area to the exam room and communicate any extended wait or delay in appointment time.
  • Educate patients on the EEG/EMG procedure, including what to expect before, during, and after the test.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment, instruments, and work areas as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, day staff, providers, and management.
  • Ability to assist and develop workflows to ensure patient safety.
Office/Clinical Preparation
  • Create and fill out log books.
  • Prepare chart reviews for upcoming neuro patients.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization and restocking of exam and treatment rooms.
Compliance/Safety
  • Report any safety-related incidents in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool.
  • Attend all safety-related training programs and perform work in a safe manner.
  • Monitor the work environment for possible safety issues and ensure others are performing work in a safe manner.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduated from an Electroneurodiagnostic technology training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs or equivalent formal training preferred.
  • Electroneurodiagnostic Technician certification and licensure preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Neurodiagnostic preferred.
