Job Duties & Responsibilities

As an Optometrist at Costco Optical - U.S., your regular duties will include:

• Performing comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat ocular disease
• Prescribing corrective lenses to improve patients' vision
• Providing pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
• Promoting healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
• Maintaining detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
• Handling eyecare emergencies with professionalism and care

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• A valid state license to practice optometry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
