Unit OverviewOur K6 Trauma Spine unit has 44 beds and specializes in providing care to patients with spinal post-ops and trauma cases. We treat a wide range of patients, including those with injuries from motor vehicle accidents, falls, and other traumatic events.
Unit CultureOur team is known for its close-knit and supportive environment, where teamwork and personal connections are valued. We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions, and enjoy frequent events and activities together.
Nurse Staffing & SupportWe have a strong focus on nurse staffing and support, with nurse-to-patient ratios that typically range from 1:4 to 1:6 on day shift and 1:5 to 1:7 on night shift. Our support staff includes physical therapists, certified nursing assistants, and trauma nurse leads, who work together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Innovative ProgramsWe are proud to be part of a pilot program for the virtual nurse program, which aims to enhance patient care and efficiency. Our virtual nurses assist with admission histories, medication reconciliation, and discharge processes, allowing our bedside nurses to focus on direct patient care.
